Our Research Target
Please help us reach our target
We have an ambitious goal: to improve how inflammatory breast cancer patients are represented in medical data. To achieve this , we need your help to fund a dedicated IBC Data Manager who will work closely with our lab-based research team. This vital role will oversee the collection and analysis of all available inflammatory breast cancer data and help pave the way for a specialised IBC patient registry - a crucial step toward better understanding, diagnosis and treatment of this rare breast cancer.
To reach our target, our fundraising team will be organising regular events leading up to and beyond October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can find more information about these events and how you, your family and friends can participate here.
We also have many other ways to get involved - take a look at our A to Z of fundraising for ideas.
As a volunteer-run charity, the majority of donations go to IBC research at the University of Birmingham and we need your help to raise these vital funds. You can meet our researchers to find out more about Dr Fedor Berditchevski and Steve Hayward.
With your support, we can make this vision a reality and give IBC patients the attention their data deserves.
Project Grants
Historically our project grants have funded established researchers in the UK with a strong track record in their field. However, we are also committed to supporting new investigators in inflammatory breast cancer research. To this end, we encourage applications from talented researchers at the start of their independent careers.
Applications are welcome throughout the year. We will inform applicants of the outcome of their application by month-end in March, June, September and December, respectively, depending on the date of submission.
Please contact us at info@ibcnetworkuk.org for more information on our guidelines and an application form.
We look forward to hearing from you.
